Matt Christensen, Dr. Jacob Elmer (now Asst. Prof. U. Villanova), Dr. Sutapa Barua (now Asst. 2015-12 Sai Pavan has been awarded a Graduate Research and Support Program (GRSP) award from the Graduate and Professional Students Association (GPSA) at ASU for his research on tumor dormancy and relapse

2015-10 Our Manuscript titledA Colorimetric Plasmonic Nanosensor for Dosimetry of Therapeutic Levels of Ionizing Radiation” has been accepted for publication in ACS Nano.This work is in collaboration with Dr. John Chang and Dr. Stephen Sapareto at Banner MD Medical Center in Gilbert,AZ.This manuscript describes a simple visual approach for detecting radiation at doses employed in cancer radiotherapy.

2015-09 Prof. Rege has been awarded a R01 grant from NIBIB, NIH for a project titled Photothermal Nanocomposites for Tissue Repair.This work is in collaboration with Prof. Michael Jaffe and Prof. Valerie Wong at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ and Prof. Tonia Young-Fadok at Mayo Clinic, Phoenix.

2015-09 Dr.Rege is a co-PI on an NSF award titled EAGER: Biomanufacturing: Engineered Hydrogel Capsules for Controlled Scalable Cultures of Pluripotent Stem Cells. Prof. Ipsita Banerjee, U. Pittsburgh is the PI of this award.

2015-07 Mr. Taraka Sai Pavan Grandhi has been awarded the 2015 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Graduate Student Research Award in Drug Discovery and Development Interface .Congratulations!

2015-05 Dr. Bhavani Miryala, Dr. Thrimoorthy Potta and Dr. Rege are co-authors on a manuscript on Parallel Synthesis and Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) Modeling of Aminoglycoside-derived Lipopolymers for Transgene Expression published in ACS Biomaterials Science and Engineering.

2015-04 Dr. Rege delivered a keynote address at the Chemical Engineering Graduate Students Association (ChEGSA) Annual Symposium at Virginia Tech.

2014-12 Dr. Rege has been awarded a $100,000 grant by the Arizona Biomedical Research Commission on Nanoassemblies for Gene Silencing.

2014-12 Dr. Rege has been awarded a $750,000 grant by the Arizona Biomedical Rsearch Commission on Targeted Therapeutics for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer in collaboration with Prof. Sandra Gendler at Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale.

2014-12 Dr. Rege has been awarded a $400,000 grant by the NSF on fundamental studies on biotemplating for radiation sensing in collaboration with Prof. Jeff Heys at Montana State University.

2014-11 Dr. Rege has been selected as Fulton Exemplar Faculty in Engineering.

2014-06 Dr. Rege received a three year $600,000 grant titled ‘Manipulating Epigenetic Mechanisms to Enhance Non-Viral Transgene Expression‘ from the National Science Foundation.

This grant is in collaboration with Prof. Jacob Elmer (Villanova U.) and Prof. Karmella Haynes (ASU Biomedical Engineering)

2014-05 Dr. Sutapa Barua, a doctoral graduate from our group has accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO. Congratulations!
